How does someone contact the syfy channel?

Question by Donnie Durden: How does someone contact the syfy channel?
My home recording system records the x-files from12 am to 1 am but sy fy has been running another show about five minutes into 12 am so I miss the last 5 minutes of the show, not worth even recording. I want to contact sy fy to right the issue, also if there is a way to record additional time beyond the allotted time on the recording system I’d appreciate it, thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Luke
yeah its a real pain when they do that, unfortunately most recorders these days go by the schedule time, you could try and find a recorder that has a timer, rather than program selector, but overall you will be at a disadvantage, as for contacting them.

don’t hope too much that they will care though tv channels are notoriously arrogant.

Where to Find One of Film and Television’s Most Familiar Faces

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) May 28, 2008

It’s a scorching afternoon in the middle of California’s high desert and the tall, striking, multi-award winning actor Robert Davi (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001108/) strides onto the legendary 4-Aces film set, to kick off filming director/writer Rolfe Kanefsky’s latest flick, “One In The Gun”. Davi’s creation of the devilish noir character Vincent, comes with absolute fluidity: an ex-con with a penchant for axes whose penetrating laughter is as sinister as his stare.

Instantly recognized from both film (“James Bond: License To Kill”, “Goonies”, “Die Hard”, and “Hot Chick”) and television (“Profiler”, “Stargate: Atlantis” and “Huff”), Davi, has been very successfully touring the festival world with his feature film directorial debut “The Dukes” while filming David Zucker’s “An American Carol” with the all-star cast of Kevin Farley, Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper, Leslie Nielsen and Kevin Sorbo and locking down his role in Max Ryan’s “The Hunchback” with John Rhys-Davies.

“One In The Gun” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1217059/) revamps the classic noir genre with a modern flair, while paying tribute to such masters as Billy Wilder (Double Indemnity), Lawrence Kasdan (Body Heat) and David Lynch (Mulholland Dr.). A deliciously dark tale of one man’s desperate spiral into an endless, personal hell; private investigator Mickey Lewis (Steven Man) discovers that it only takes “One In The Gun”. Can Mickey stay focused on his mark? If he pursues like over logic, can he win this game of manipulation against a femme fatale that knows no bounds?

Davi joins cast members Steven Bauer (“Scarface”, “How The Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer”); Steven Man (“Savage Island,” “Augusta Gone”); Katherine Randolph (“Jarhead,” “Black Ops”); Robert Donavan (“Nightmare Man”) and James Russo (“Donnie Brasco,” “Beverly Hills Cop” and Michael Mann’s upcoming “Public Enemies” starring Johnny Depp).

“One In The Gun” writer/director Rolfe Kanefsky whose credits include “Blonde & Blonder” (First Look/Rigel), “Nightmare Man” (Lionsgate), “Jacqueline Hyde” (Warner), “The Hazing” (MTI) has teamed up with Director of Photography Gigi Malavasi and producers Michelle Czernin von Chudenitz, Esther Goodstein and Miriam Bertke, projects a Spring 2009 release.

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 9, 2009

This year’s Festival will also feature the signature Independent Pilot Competition, the People’s Choice Award and the new Fox Television Studios’ “FtvS 15 Gigs of Fame” award. Daytime events and panels will include the NATPE Industry Day featuring keynote speakers Bonnie Hammer, President of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions; Rick Rosen, Head of Television, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment; and Rick Feldman, President and CEO of NATPE, as well as the second annual Digital Day sponsored by Microsoft’s MSN.

“The fifth annual New York Television Festival promises to be our largest and best event yet,” said NYTVF founder Terence Gray. “This milestone anniversary reinforces our belief that the independent television movement is not only here to stay, but also that it will play an increasingly influential role in serialized content development going forward.”

The fifth annual New York Television Festival will take place from September 21-26, 2009 at the New World Stages and the Times Center in Midtown Manhattan.

The best shorts submitted by filmmakers from across the country will be featured at this free screening. The winning participants will be granted an NBC Universal Talent Holding deal for the Best Actor, a pilot script deal, executive meetings, and a special international directing assignment from the Syfy Channel for the Best Filmmaker.

FOX’s new animated comedy “The Cleveland Show” will premiere on Thursday, September 24 with a red carpet event and screening at the Times Center. NYTVF audiences will be among the first to see the “Family Guy” spin-off that follows the always-hilarious character, Cleveland Brown. Co-creators and executive producers Rich Appel and Mike Henry (the voice of Cleveland) are scheduled to appear, along with additional voice talent Sanaa Lathan and Kevin Michael Richardson. “The Cleveland Show” premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. To close out the Festival’s Primetime Series, ION Television will premiere “Durham County,” a police drama debuting this fall starring Hugh Dillon, Helene Joy, and Laurence Leboeuf, for audiences at New World Stages on Thursday evening.

The Festival’s signature component, the Independent Pilot Competition, will screen official selections from Thursday, September 24 – Saturday, September 26. Launched in 2005 as the foundation of the Festival, the IPC gives independent television creators the chance to present their work to executives at broadcast networks, cable networks, and online content providers. What do you think of Stargate Universe and the latest “Earth” episode?

Question by GOKU8: What do you reckon of Stargate Universe and the latest “Earth” episode?
I have the series tremendously dissapointing. I have followed stargate from when the movie was first released and it is my favourite show. But SGU has not met my expectations in terms of fascinating characters, technology, and plots. It seems its mostly drama and about peoples feelings and their past. The latest show i have found that rush has an fascinating character and eli, and the last point with trafford was shocking and im keen to know what happens next. What do you reckon?

Earth episode SUCKED!!! if there wasn’t a stargate I could’ve sworn I would have filed that episode under Drama. I would not be so nice if it wasn’t stargate, If it wasn’t I would have stopped on the first episode. Yea its “different” but their honestly ditching the long time fans and picking up a young audience, I’m 14 and I find this stuff bull. I despise everyone except Eli, Rush and greer.

It’s basically about a group of people, both military and civilian, who strand on a ship of the Ancients that travels through another galaxy and places Stargates throughout this galaxy.
There were lots of rumors about what the show is going to be like. In the beginning it sounded like a mix of “90210″ and “Voyager” but I reckon it sounds ok by now.

Here are more detailed infos on the whole thing:

Full Circle (season 6)
Lost City pt 1 and 2 (season 7)
Company of Thieves (season 10)

There isn’t really that much you need to see to know universe other than the whole chevron thing. Basically, Destiny is shipped launched into space by another race (the ancients). There mission is to dial planets that have stargates, seeded by previous ships, dial them, then go. Sounds dumb right? The show really contains a lot of plot holes, so things might sound confusing. But I suggest watching all of SG1 and SGA because they rock compared to SGU.
